Gilbert has also completed classes for both the Auction Technology Specialist and the Graduate Personal Property Appraiser designations from the National Auctioneers Association. He is a regular instructor for the Jacksonville State University Auctioneer School and a member of both the National Auctioneers Association and the Alabama Auctioneers Association. Dr. Gilbert, retired professor and department head at Jacksonville State, is a licensed and bonded auctioneer (Alabama Auctioneer License # 1847.)
