Certified Appraisals

Gilbert and Company, LLC provides USPAP compliant certified appraisals of personal property.  Because they are USPAP compliant, our certified appraisals are fully acceptable for legal, tax, insurance and other purposes.  We regularly provide appraisals to individuals, attorneys, banks, insurance companies, executors, personal representatives, trustees, those with power of attorney, and others.  Common uses of our appraisals are for charitable contributions, settlement of estates, insurance settlements, divorce settlements, dissolution of partnerships, division of property, and simply for personal information purposes.

Dr. Jerry Gilbert, company owner and principal appraiser, is a graduate of the course conducted by the Certified Appraisers Guild of America and holds the CAGA designation as a certified personal property appraiser.  The Certified Appraisers Guild of America, North America's largest trainer of personal property appraisers, is a professional accrediting organization providing certification of personal property appraisers. It confers the professional membership designation CAGA to recognize completion of the appraiser's certification process. Members have made a commitment to CAGA's Code of Professional Ethics and to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Dr. Gilbert has also completed the course work for the Graduate Personal Propery Appraiser designation offered by the National Auctioneers Association, which included the mandatory training for qualifying to write USPAP compliant appraisals.
